Berlin River cruise tours on the Spree
Taking in all the sights and sounds of the Berlin from the waterfront can be a truly breathtaking and memorable experience. The Spree River runs through the city and there is a great river cruise that takes visitors on a tour of the city. Visitors interested in going on a river cruise will need to set apart at least two to five hours if they choose to take a nautical tour of the city.
A night cruise along the River Spree allows visitors to enjoy a beautiful view of Berlin’s city lights. This tour lasts approximately three hours and costs upwards of 18 Euros per person, although concessions are also available.
The rates include a complimentary drink of wine, beer or soft beverage. For the environment conscious, Berlin offers a very innovate solar boat that will take visitors around the perimeter of the city in under two hours. The fares are a little more expensive than the night cruise and start from around 20 Euros. Visitors can also choose to go on a longer city river tour on the Spree Shuttle Solar Cruise.
A Spree River Cruise is often offered as a package deal along with a complete city tour. Visitors can get off the bus at Nicolaiviertel and set sail on a one-hour long cruise on the River Spree. Once the cruise is over they can resume their bus tour of the city. This tour is organised by BBS Berlin Tours Baren Stadrondrundfahrt GmbH and fares start from roughly 30 Euros.
